The establishment of NHG University Department & University Council

Nguyen Hoang Group (NHG) recently announced the establishment of the University Department and University Council, demonstrating the priority of university development strategies.

Currently, NHG is a private education unit having the most universities in the country, including 4 members: Gia Dinh University (GDU); Ba Ria – Vung Tau University (BVU); Hoa Sen University (HSU) and Hong Bang International University (HIU).

With a strategic vision for the future, NHG decided to establish the University Department to manage, supervise, support the development of the universities accordingly to the rules and regulations of MoET and NHG.

The mission of the University Department is to draft regulations for the administration and supervision of university activities, implement work of university system development, connect and coordinate the common activities of universities in the system, cooperate with domestic and foreign organizations, individuals and professional management agencies related to the development of higher education and training.

Along with that, the University Council is established to advise on the university development strategy and academic activities.

Associate Professor, Dr. Thai Ba Can – Deputy CEO, university development affairs will take over the director of NHG University Department, as well as the standing vice president of the University Council.

Ms. Hoang Nguyen Thu Thao – CEO of NHG delivering the appointment decision to have Associate Professor, Dr. Thai Ba Can – Deputy CEO, university development affairs as the director of the Univeristy Department and standing vice president of the University Council.

NHG University Council consists of 18 members who are leading experts, researchers and educators with extensive experience in the university field. In particular, there are Professor, Dr. Le Xuan Hy – Director of the Institute of Human Development, University of Seattle (USA), Professor, Dr. Tran Van Doan (National Taiwan University), Associate Professor, Dr. Ho Thanh Phong – President of Hong Bang International University and Professor, Dr. Mai Hong Quy – President of Hoa Sen University, etc.

*The meetings of board of management are held regularly to monitor and improve the education quality of members.*

It can be seen that transparent and in-depth management, wholeheartedly and strong investment in people and staff are strategic steps of NHG. Focusing on university development, enhancing the education quality and strengthening high-level intellectuals are the optimal tools for NHG to realize its development strategies in the future.
