A student of Le Hong Phong high school for the gifted receiving a full scholarship from HSU

The best student of Le Hong Phong high school for the gifted of HCMC - Nguyen Kim Thoa received a full scholarship worth 200 million VND from Hoa Sen University - a member of Nguyen Hoang Group (NHG).

On the morning of March 11th, Professor Dr. Mai Hong Quy, President of Hoa Sen University (HSU) awarded a full scholarship to Nguyen Kim Thoa, 12th grade student, Le Hong Phong high school for the gifted.

Nguyen Kim Thoa is the best student in the school with the GPA in three years is 9.5 - 9.8 - 9.8 respectively. She is quite good at Biology with many achievements: First prize in the HCMC excellent students contest for two years (grades 11 and 12), the consolation prize in the national excellent students contest (grade 11) and the third prize in the national excellent students (grade 12).

Kim Thoa said: “I’m so happy. This gift would help me and my family overcome difficulties when I go to the university”. With full scholarship received from HSU, Kim Thoa has planned to study HSU's food technology major.

Reportedly, Professor Dr. Mai Hong Quy shared the university’s desires is giving chance for Le Hong Phong high school students to become HSU students.

Not only Kim Thoa but other students also have the opportunity to receive Hoa Sen University's scholarship in the upcoming academic year. In 2019, Hoa Sen University have 215 scholarships (including 105 scholarships for talents and 110 scholarships for students in special circumstance) for candidates participating in university admission with a total value around 20 billion VND.

It is expected that in the future, HSU will support Le Hong Phong high school in scientific research activities at city and national levels.
