BVU is officially approved to open the Logistics & Supply Chain Management and Tourism & Travel Management majors

In the morning of November 11, 2017, Ba Ria - Vung Tau University (BVU) held a ceremony to receive the official decision to open 2 new majors: Logistics & Supply Chain Management and Tourism-Travel Management Majors. Attending the ceremony were Dr. Mr. Ha Huu Phuc - Director, Head of Southern Representative Office of the Ministry of Education and Training; representatives of the People's Council of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province; representative of the Tourism department of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province; Leaders of Nguyen Hoang Group (NHG), leader of BVU and representatives of enterprises in the field of tourism, logistics.

To start ceremony, Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Kiem - President of Ba Ria - Vung Tau University gave the opening speech, sharing the whole process of building the project to open two more fields of Logistics & Supply Chain Management; Tourism & Travel Management. Accordingly, the head of BVU said: "The decision to open 02 new majors is the right decision of the school based on the analysis and forecast of human resources needs of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province in particular and the South East region in general to perform the task of providing high quality human resources to meet the social needs of BVU. With the great preparation of Baria-Vungtau University and the support of Nguyen Hoang Group on the basis of practice and recruitment of NHG’s member units such as Long Beach Resort Phu Quoc, Binh An Resort Vung Tau province with the support of businesses in the province, BVU students will certainly experience a new professional environment and have many job opportunities after graduation."

After the opening speech of the President of BVU, the ceremony of receiving the decision to open the new majors was held solemnly under the witness of the delegates and cadres, lecturers and students of the school, Dr. Ha Huu Phuc - Representative of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Ha Huu Phuc highly appreciated BVU’s efforts in the development process. He also appreciated the determination and enthusiasm investment of Nguyen Hoang Group in education and training.

Also at this ceremony, BVU and businesses in the two fields of Logistics and Tourism (including: The Grand Ho Tram Strip, Vung Tau International Tourism Joint Stock Company, Ben Dam Port Management Board, JSC Lotus Corporation, VinaLink Logistics International Co. Ltd., (VietsovPetro Resort Ho Tram, Pullman Vung Tau Hotel previously) and BVU signed a cooperation agreement between the school and enterprises on the following terms: Enterprises participate in consultancy and contribution to training programs;  support BVU in students’s practice at the enterprise; Businesses send experts to teach, train for BVU students; Enterprises prefer to recruit students of BVU; BVU provides human resources to meet the standards set by the enterprise; BVU and enterprise unify the implementation of scientific research activities ...

Before the ceremony ended, on behalf of the staffs, lecturers and students of Ba Ria - Vung Tau University, Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Kiem expressed his deep thanks to the leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training, Leaders of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, leaders of Nguyen Hoang Group and leaders of enterprises for always paying attention, companion and support BVU in all activities of the university.
