Dr. Duy An emphasized with students that university is where they learn to learn, learn to think and learn to broaden knowledge. Students themselves must constantly make efforts, sharpen their skills and promote their health besides the classes. He stressed that every individual has to dream big and act small step by step to reach the goal. He encouraged the youths to follow their hearts without hesitation. He also shared important principles for the youths to establish a career foundation and built a successful life: drive, do not hitch; identify strengths and focus on them; look for a job, not ask for a job; work smarter and faster, not harder; and above all, be a lifelong learner.

Answering the question: “Why students can’t communicate in even basic English though it’s a mandatory subject from Lower Secondary to University?”, he said that the core problem lies in each of the students themselves when they don’t proactively develop their abilities to the fullest. He encouraged every student to overcome their fear, to improve their English and practise communication as much as possible.

Influenced by American Culture, Dr. Duy An approved of students exploring study abroad programs, absorbing foreign cultures and knowledge so that they will grow up and gain more opportunities to identify their orientation and find themselves the most appropriate occupations. He affirmed that the opportunities to study abroad are available for all students with aspiration and persistence.

At the end of the seminar, Dr. Duy An conveyed a message to the students: “If it’s not you to find your dream and build your own career, then who? If it’s not now to do it, then when?”

As a son of Vung Tau, Dr. Duy An expressed his happiness to be on his homeland giving students the inspiration for finding the love of learning and the orientation in their future career. The seminar with Dr. Duy An has left BVU students with a strong impression, which is a precious preparation for them on their way. As planned, he will have another one for students from Hong Bang International University (HIU) in the future.
