HIU Architecture Students handsomely won 7 prizes at the National Architecture Students Festival 2018

National Architecture Students Festival 2018 on the theme “Architecture students: Exchange – Creativity – Integration” and the direction of professional competitions “The Vitality of Urban Space” from April 23^rd to 26^th has ended. Talking about great successes and glorious victory, we cannot forget to praise Architecture students of Hong Bang International University for the 7 awards they achieved.

Festival 2018 promotes the spirit of exchange, sharing and interaction in joint activities and competitions. HIU Architecture Group has 20 representatives, 5 of whom won 7 awards at the event.

Specifically, Do Hong Phuc won First Prize in Arts, Tran Thi Minh Thao Consolation Prize in Fast Design B, Doan Chi Cong First Prize in Fast Design A, Nguyen Thanh Long Consolation Prize in Arts, Dang Vu Huy Second Prize in Fast Design A, Doan Chi Cong and Nguyen Thanh Long Well-Rounded Prizes.

Mr. Huynh Quang Cuong – Deputy Head of HIU Architecture Department shared: “This is a very successful national architecture festival of HIU Architecture Department. Groupwork activities provided students with a good time to share and experience. The point is that our students were confident and able to demonstrate their competence. Those great achievements have showed good preparation and high dedication spirit of the 20 students and 5 lecturers from our department, as well as the positive signs of the department’s teaching quality and recent activities.”

HIU Architecture Department focus on training well-rounded architect generations to meet the diverse demand of high-quality human resources in the age of integration. At HIU, students are equipped with not only specialized knowledge but also technical English for their major. Student from KC 16, KC 17 school year have continued studying English with specialized projects directly taught by lecturers graduated from international universities in Germany, Italy.

The Department also hold an English Club from 6p.m. to 8p.m. every Thursday so that students have an environment to talk about their career using English. Additionally, students have courses in prestigious universities around the world for integration programs as well as opportunities to exchange with, learn from and work with students from international universities that visit for scientific research. As planned, HIU Architecture Department will expand training in Master’s Degree with international affiliate programs in the future. The Department also has a gallery, a practice room and frequently organizes exhibition activities, traditional festivals, charity programs…

Up to the present, HIU Department of Architecture has organized free Arts classes every Sunday morning and Tuesday evening for High School students. The classes have been receiving very positive feedback from students in gifted fields such as Architecture and Applied Arts that have an aspiration to major in Architecture. HIU Architecture students have voluntarily and actively supported them. The High School students are very excited to be able to study in such a beautiful and professional environment. Hopefully, it will create a good connection between them with the university and the major of their interest.
