Hoa Sen University appointed a new Vice President
On June 13th, Hoa Sen University (HSU) held a ceremony to announce the decision to appoint a new vice president: Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu with the participation of leaders of Nguyen Hoang Group, HSU board of directors, lecturers and students.

Taking the position of vice president, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu will join HSU board of directors to develop and create an university environment, which is adaptable, international and intelligent according to the development orientation of becoming an "international univeristy for Vietnamese".
Power of the youth – the bridge to knowledge
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu was born in 1981, got a PhD. in Linguistics at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-HCM) in 2009. He was recognized by the Council of State Professors to meet the standards of an Associate Professor of Linguistics in October 2016, when he was very young (35 years old). Before being appointed as HSU Vice President, he held the position of Head of HSU Foreign Language Department.
Speaking at the ceremony, Professor, Dr. Mai Hong Quy said: “Currently, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu undertakes at least two topical jobs, which are very important for the university: E-Learning and accreditation. HSU is carrying out accreditation according to the criteria of the Ministry of Education and Training and re-testing 5 programs meeting ACBSP standard of the US of the Faculty of Economics and Administration. These require a caring and well-executed leader. With his experience, the dynamism of young people and the spirit of innovation, we believe that Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu will successfully complete the work of the new vice president”.

In addition, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu has won many awards for researching and applying IT to teaching, such as: developing software for TOEFL iBT 2.1 exam preparation and ED Quiz software. He won the second prize of HCMC Technical Innovation Award (2010) and third prize of the National Technical Innovation Award (2012), etc. He also was recognized by Microsoft Corporation as one of 50 excellent IT application teachers in the world. In 2014, he was recognized by Microsoft Vietnam as MIE (Microsoft Innovative Educator).
Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu shared: “I understand that the new position will bring to me many difficulties and challenges. However, when we encounter a challenge, it is time to face an opportunity, too. The more challenges, the more opportunities. I would like to accept this new mission with that spirit and will spread the spirit to my colleagues and students.”

Trust, companionship and love
Also at the ceremony, Ms. Hoang Nguyen Thu Thao – CEO of Nguyen Hoang Group congratulated and expressed her trust in the new vice president: “Education philosophy of NHG is Humane and core values, which are: love; creativity; integrity; respect and discipline. In this moment, I would like to talk about the 3 pillars for the philosophy and core value, they are: trust, companionship and love.”
“Education has never been a job of one individual. In order to success, it is needed the cooperation, companion and participation of all people, all members of the university. In order to accompany, it is necessary to abandon ‘the privacy disrupting the common progress’ and welcome new people with their values. Companions are only sustainable when each person transforms himself into a person who serves others. Leadership by service, teaching/education in the spirit of service, learning through service, must become a culture in our daily life” – shared by Ms. Hoang Nguyen Thu Thao.
