iSTUDENT signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Konkuk university, Korea

Accepting the invitation from Mr. Sang-Gi Min, Group President of Konkuk University, Korea, Ms. Hoang Nguyen Thu Thao, NHG CEO and her management team has made a working trip to Korea from April 10 to April 13. The trip marks an important development in the cooperation between NHG and Konkuk University, the 2nd largest private university in Korea and among the top 10 universities in the “Kimchi country” with the most stringent acceptance criteria in the country.

Starting with a successful international student exchange between Konkuk University and HIU, with the internationalization efforts of Konkuk University and NHG, bringing non-stop added values to NHG students, in this Korean trip, both sides were happy to sign an official cooperation agreement between Kokuk University and iStudent, the Institute for International Relation and Study Abroad, member of NHG. The agreement led to the following important cooperation:

  1. Proceeding with the exchange of students between NHG and Konkuk University systems
  2. Konkuk University will be opening an office at the iStudent headquarter in HCMC to recruit Vietnamese students to study at Konkuk University in Korea. At the same time, iStudent will open an office at Konkuk Universty in Seoul, Korea to recruit Korean students to come to learn the Vietnamese language at the NHG school system.
  3. Organizing University preparatory classes and Korean language classes for Vietnamese students to get them ready to go study in Korea.

The signing ceremony between iStudent and Konkuk is great news, opening opportunities for Vietnamese students at NHG to go study abroad in Korea, while at the same time advancing the Vietnamese-Korean cultural and language exchanges, marking a strategic step of NHG in Korea, one of the most advanced countries in East Asia.

Also in this working trip, the management team of NHG also visited Konkuk University Hospital, the Golf course and the Classic 500 apartment building, all belonging to Konkuk group. With investments in Education, Hospitality services, Medicine, Real Estate, NHG management team can see many common directions and strategic visions between Konkuk and NHG. The long term common vision between the two groups is where NHG and Konkuk can start a strong future cooperation.

During the trip, Ms. Hoang Nguyen Thu Thao, NHG CEO also visited and presented gifts to HIU students who are pursuing their Master degrees in the Korean language at Konkuk University.

Established since 1931, Konkuk University, part of Konkuk Group, is the 2nd largest private University in Korea and is among the top 10 universities in Korea with the most stringent acceptance criteria in the nation. The Konkuk education system consists of 22 universities with 33 faculties (86 majors) and 26 sub-sectors.

Konkuk University is well known for: International Commerce, Real Estate, Animal Life Science, Information Technology and Cultural Arts. Graduate schools consist of 76 Master programs, 66 doctorate programs with 70 sciences and technical research centers. Currently Konkuk University has 2,100 professors and 1,000 instructors who are doing research and teaching 25,000 top notch students to become world leaders.
