Woori Bank Vietnam signed a strategic partnership agreement with Nguyen Hoang Group

During the time visiting and working in HCMC, leaders of Woori Bank Vietnam and NHG marked a new step on the journey of sustainable mutual development through the strategic partnership signing ceremony held on June 3rd, 2020.

Leaders discussed contents of the upcoming cooperation during the signing ceremony

Woori Bank, under the Woori Financial Group, has the most substantial coverage among Korean Banks with 1337 branches worldwide. In 1997, Woori Bank established a branch in Hanoi and became the first Korean Credit Institution in Vietnam. From January 2017, Woori Bank Vietnam was officially established and put into operation.

After visiting NHG's educational institutions including International Schools of North America (SNA), Hong Bang International University (HIU) and Hoa Sen University (HSU), leaders of Woori Bank Vietnam and NHG through discussions have decided to build a long-term and sustainable relationship with a strategic partnership signing ceremony.

Mr. Lee Jong In, General Director of Woori Bank Vietnam, highly appreciated NHG as a prestigious educational organization and showed his credibility towards NHG with these cooperation commitments: “The more Korea and Vietnam cooperate to develop together, the more meaningful our partnership is. Woori Bank will optimize our strengths as well as provide credit solutions and services suitable to the current market and finance to meet the need of each target. We will also do our best to support NHG to keep leading in the journey of spreading knowledge in Vietnam.”

Woori Bank Vietnam expects to cooperate in an international school project of NHG that will open in Bien Hoa city as the bank to finance construction investment, to provide banking solutions and services to optimize financial activities of the school when it is put into operation. Besides that, the bank can also provide financial services to parents, students and staff, etc, as individual customers.
