Former Vice President of Kyoto University (Japan) to visit and work at NHG

In the afternoon of January 26th at NHG Office, President Hoang Quoc Viet has welcomed Prof. Junichi Mori – Former Vice Chairman of Kyoto University (Japan), part-time lecturer on International Finance at Da Nang University.

At the meeting, Prof. Mori expressed his impression with the magnitude of NHG’s complete education system from Kindergarten to Doctorate. He stated that the group’s investment projects, with great passion of the leaders, will be successful and bring lots of good values to the community.

Prof. Mori also confirmed that he is willing to connect NHG with prestigious universities in Japan for cooperation agreements, expanding study opportunities for students from NHG education system.

Prof. Mori worked for Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi from 1973 – 2000, being in charge of many overseas branches and business area, designing and managing options contracts and futures contracts.

From 2000 to 2004, he was appointed Director of Institute for International Monetary Affairs – an independent research institute founded by Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi that has made influences on the policies of Japan Ministry of Finance. In this position, he run 3 projects on financial policy consultancy for Vietnam Ministry of Finance.

From 2004 to 2016, he took the position of Vice Chairman of International Cooperation, Director of the International Center of Kyoto University – the second oldest university in Japan. He was in charge of designing internationalization strategies (including promoting reputation, stimulating research and training cooperation activities, fostering student exchange programs, opening joint training and training organizations outside Japan…). He was also responsible for implementing these strategies and raising annual budget of 100 – 150 million USD.
