A thousand words of gratitude for our teachers

November 20 is a time for honoring educators across the country. In the spirit of gratitude, Nguyễn Hoàng Group organized a series of special events to express appreciation for teachers and educational administrators dedicated to shaping the future.

Let’s look back at the most touching and meaningful moments from this celebration.

Hồng Bàng International University (HIU)

Welcoming Vietnamese Teachers’ Day, Hồng Bàng International University (HIU) hosted the "Tribute to Educators" ceremony, providing a heartfelt opportunity for faculty and students to reflect on cherished memories and share inspiring stories about their journey in spreading knowledge.

The event welcomed esteemed representatives from various leadership generations of the university, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng, Former Rector; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hồ Thanh Phong, Former Rector; and Dr. Đỗ Mạnh Cường, Chairman of the University Council.

The ceremony also welcomed the return of many alumni who wished to express their deep gratitude to the dedicated teachers who guided them through their academic journeys. During the event, HIU honored outstanding young educators and distinguished faculty members for their significant contributions to teaching, research, and educational innovation.

Notably, HIU was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee for its outstanding achievements in the 2023–2024 academic year. This recognition highlights the university’s continuous efforts in fostering academic excellence and promoting educational development.

Hoa Sen University (HSU)

With a unique and innovative approach, Hoa Sen University (HSU) expressed its gratitude to faculty members through the SEN AWARDS, a prestigious recognition celebrating the dedication and contributions of lecturers, staff, and administrators to education.

This year’s SEN AWARDS honored 43 outstanding individuals and teams across seven categories, including Outstanding Leadership; Distinguished Lecturer; Excellence in Scientific Research; Dedicated Academic Advisor; Exemplary Staff;  Friendly Staff; and Outstanding Team.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Đỗ Mạnh Cường, Chairman of the University Council, emphasized that HSU is not just a university but a ‘happy home’ for its students, faculty, and staff. He also highlighted the noble mission of education and extended his heartfelt wishes for a joyful and love-filled Vietnamese Teachers’ Day to all educators.

Gia Định University (GDU)

Like a nostalgic film reel, Gia Định University’s Teachers’ Appreciation Ceremony beautifully reflected the dedication and commitment of its faculty throughout the 2023–2024 academic year.

Adding warmth to the event, GDU students expressed their gratitude to their teachers through captivating performances. Huỳnh Trần Phong Ly, a first-year Law student, shared: “We practiced diligently to deliver the best performance possible, as a special gift for our beloved teachers.”

M.A. Lê Phước Toàn Như shared his heartfelt thoughts: “This is a special event with a variety of activities for students to experience, connect, and express gratitude to their teachers. It also serves as motivation for me and my colleagues to continue nurturing our passion for education and training future generations of students.”

Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu University (BVU)

The 42nd Vietnamese Teachers’ Day Celebration at Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu University (BVU) was held with great solemnity, attended by the university’s Board of Directors, department heads, faculty members, students, and alumni. The ceremony honored outstanding educators and reinforced the nation’s long-standing tradition of "Respecting Teachers, Honoring Knowledge."

In her opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hoài Phương, Rector of BVU, expressed her deep gratitude to the faculty and emphasized the crucial role of education in the country's development. She remarked: “Teachers are not only knowledge providers but also devoted mentors and lifelong companions, guiding students on their journey to knowledge and success.”

BVU upholds the spirit of "Respecting Teachers, Honoring Knowledge"

MIT University Vietnam (MIT Uni.) 

As a university known for innovation and creativity, MIT University Vietnam seamlessly combined its Vietnamese Teachers’ Day celebration with the 11th anniversary of its founding, creating a memorable experience for faculty and students alike.

Beyond offering an engaging platform for educators through the Best Researcher 2024 and Best Lecturer 2024 competitions, MIT University also marked a significant achievement—receiving reaccreditation for institutional quality and two undergraduate programs: Automotive Engineering Technology and English Language Studies.

 International Schools of North America (SNA)

At the International Schools of North America (SNA), Vietnamese Teachers’ Day is celebrated with a harmonious blend of Vietnamese educational traditions and modern international learning values. At SNA South Saigon Campus, students expressed their gratitude by creating a bilingual Vietnamese-English video tribute to their teachers—whom they lovingly call their “second parents.” Every message in the video was filled with deep appreciation and respect, touching the hearts of many viewers.

Meanwhile, at SNA Marianapolis (Biên Hòa), the celebration embraced a harmonious blend of American and Vietnamese cultures. The event featured inspirational artistic performances and a touching moment where students personally presented flowers and gifts to teachers from various countries around the world.

Vietnamese Teachers' Day at SNA Marianapolis Biên Hòa

At SNA Marianapolis Biên Hòa, Principal Joe delivered an inspiring and heartfelt speech, emphasizing the profound impact of educators: “A teacher’s superpower is helping students realize that even when they make mistakes, they are still growing. And that superpower also helps them become the best version of themselves.”

UK Academy & iSchool Systems 

With the theme "Empowering Diversity," the UK Academy Bilingual International School System (UKA) embraced Vietnamese Teachers' Day with a series of meaningful events, honoring individual uniqueness and the value of diversity in an open and inclusive learning environment.

At UKA Hạ Long, the "Proud to Be a Teacher" contest provided a platform for teachers, parents, and students to share stories, emotions, and gratitude through videos, images, and meaningful quotes. Meanwhile, at UKA Đà Nẵng, two special competitions were launched:

  • "Teacher in My Eyes" – A creative video contest for secondary students to express their appreciation for teachers.
  • "Wall Newspaper Contest" – A primary school competition where students combined art, images, and writing to craft heartfelt tributes to their educators.

These initiatives not only celebrated the dedication of teachers but also fostered a deeper connection between students and their mentors through creativity and storytelling.

At UKA Huế, the Outstanding Teacher Competition provided a dynamic platform for educators to showcase their skills and innovate their teaching methods. Meanwhile, UKA Bình Thạnh left a lasting impression with its Mixed-Media Art Contest, where students expressed their gratitude through unique artworks crafted from seeds, blending creativity with heartfelt appreciation for their teachers.

At UKA Gia Lai, the school launched the "Gratitude Pen Strokes" writing contest and hosted the "Melodies of Gratitude – Sending Love" charity concert to support SOS Children's Village Pleiku, fostering a spirit of generosity and community. Meanwhile, IEC Quảng Ngãi held the "Nurturing Aspirations, Igniting Dreams" artistic photography contest, capturing beautiful and inspiring moments within the school environment. These events highlighted the creativity, gratitude, and social responsibility embedded in UKA’s educational philosophy.

Closing the series of gratitude-filled events, UKA Bà Rịa hosted the "My Teacher – My Wellbeing" poster design competition, where secondary students expressed their appreciation through artistic illustrations and presentations. These activities were more than just tributes to teachers—they also contributed to fostering a loving, creative, and connected educational community, reinforcing the deep bonds between students and educators.

In alignment with the mission of honoring educators, the iSchool International Integration System, UK Academy Bilingual International School System (UKA), and IEC Quảng Ngãi launched the Best Teacher 2024–2025 competition under the theme "Tech-Smart Educators." This creative platform allows teachers to showcase their expertise in applying technology to innovate teaching methods, paving the way for more effective and engaging learning experiences for students.

Best Teacher Competition Unites Educators Across iSchool, UKA & IEC Quảng Ngãi

The Best Teacher competition, running from October 2024 to March 2025, has drawn enthusiastic participation from educators across iSchool, UKA, and IEC Quảng Ngãi. The competition is divided into three categories: Early Childhood, Primary, and Secondary Education.

Currently, participating teachers are in the stage of presenting their innovative teaching products before the Expert Council. The organizing committee hopes that the awards will serve as a motivational boost, encouraging educators to continue their efforts in innovation and guiding students on their journey of knowledge exploration.

Saigon Academy International Kindergarten School System (SGA)

At Saigon Academy International Kindergarten (SGA), the November 20th celebration was modest yet filled with love, leaving unforgettable moments for teachers and parents alike.

With tiny, hesitant steps, young children took to the stage, singing in pure, innocent voices and performing adorable dances—sometimes forgetting lyrics or missing a beat. Yet, it was this very innocence that warmed the hearts of their teachers. For SGA educators, this day was more than just a tribute—it was a reminder of the love, patience, and dedication that form the foundation of early childhood education. These little angels are not only SGA’s pride but also the inspiration for teachers to remain devoted to their meaningful mission in early education.
