HSU launches faculty of marketing – communication with 05 high-employment rate majors
In order to meet the market's human resource needs in the field of marketing - communications as well as optimize the organization and training for students, Hoa Sen University (HSU) launched the Department of Marketing - Communications.
The overview of the launching ceremony of the Faculty of Marketing and Communications.
Accordingly, the Department of Marketing and Communications will include 5 majors: Marketing; Digital Marketing; Public Relations; Communication Technology Management; Multimedia Communication (HSU new major in 2024).

At the launching ceremony, the university also appointed the board of faculty deans. Accordingly, Dr. Tran Ba Dung holds the position of Dean, PhD. Le Viet Tho - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Marketing - Communications.

Dr. Tran Ba Dung, graduated with a Bachelor of Journalism, Master of Mass Communication, Doctor of Mass Communication at the Academy of Journalism and Communication. He has more than 35 years of experience working in the journalism and communications field, with positions as reporter, Editor-in-Chief at press agencies, Head of the Professional Department at the Vietnam Journalists Association, University and Postgraduate lecturer, and 12 years working at the Ministry of Education and Training.
Dr. Le Viet Tho graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Academy of Journalism and Communication, a master's degree from Victoria University (Australia), and a doctor’s degree in Communications from Edith Cowan University (Australia). He has many years of experience working in the field of journalism as Head of Publishing Secretary Department, Head of Electronic Press Department at press agencies, a former lecturer and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Public Relations and Communications at universities.
Dr. Tran Ba Dung – Dean of the Faculty of Marketing - Communications, Former Editor-in-Chief of Student Magazine, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Professional Education and University Magazine, Journalist Magazine speak at the ceremony.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Dr. Tran Ba Dung – Dean of the Faculty of Marketing - Communications, shared: "I am extremely touched by the welcome and affection of the members of Hoa Sen University. 03 words describe my feelings: Pride, gratitude, and responsibility. With 40 years of experience working in journalism and communications, the lecturers of the Department of Marketing – Communications and I will try to inherit the values of former majors and create new majors for the faculty of Marketing - Communications as a good training place for students."
The university appointed other positions to strengthen the leadership system.
In addition, Hoa Sen University (HSU) also reappointed other positions to strengthen the leadership system, including:
• PhD. Nguyen Hoai Nam – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences – Law.
• PhD. Ho Truc Vi - Deputy Director of the Institute of Graduate Studies & Leadership
• MSc. Vo Hong Hanh – Library Director
• PhD. Ho Thi My Linh – Manager of the Department of International Cooperation
• MSc. Le Huu Son – Deputy Manager of the Department of Testing – Quality Assurance
• MSc. To Thi Anh Nguyen – Deputy Head, Testing Department – Quality Assurance
On this occasion, the university also introduced new majors this year including: Multimedia Communications, Law, Chinese Language, and Vietnam-Japanese Information Technology.
