HIU officially becomes the destination of global IB students

HIU aims for internationalization and integration to develop international education. On October 16th, representatives of Hong Bang International University (HIU) signed a collaboration with the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). Accordingly, HIU officially becomes the destination to study abroad for IB students around the world.

“HIU is a strategic partner for IB students to transfer their studies, in not only the Asia-pacific region, but also in the world” – Ms. Stefanie Leong, Head of Development & Recognition (Asia-pacific) confirmed.

According to the minutes, HIU will have special policies for IB students. In addition, when transferring to HIU, some credits will be exempted following these policies.

As a part of a strong internationalization and integration strategy, the collaboration between HIU and IBO is a foundation to open opportunities for HIU to develop current advantages, as well as, build up and finish a 100% English curriculum.

Associate Professor Dr. Ho Thanh Phong, the new president of HIU, said that after settling down the organization, he would focus on developing the university following international orientation.

Currently, HIU is applying the curriculum in English for students and developing programs associated with prestigious foreign universities following the model 2+2, 3+1, etc.

By that way, HIU students can approach the international education environment, furthermore, HIU can attract many foreign students to come join the modern and hi-class education environment at HIU.
