Hong Bang International University - HIU to become the first university in Vietnam to have professional Golf training department
On behalf of Prof. Sang-Gi Min, Group President of Konkuk University’s invitation, representatives of Hong Bang International University - HIU and Institute of International Relations and Oversea Studies - iStudent – members of NHG’s education system had a working visit at Korea from Oct. 11 to Oct. 15, 2017.
On this occasion, HIU signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Konkuk University on October 11 to promote the establishment of the Golf Department at Hong Bang International University (HIU) with KU’s support of of lecturers, training programs, curriculum.
With the agreement signed, HIU officially became the first university in Vietnam to have a professional golf training department. This is great news for students of the NHG education system in particular and for Vietnamese students in general, to develop the internationalization of HIU and to equip the young generation with the most up-to-date skills in the era of Globalization.
KU also offerred HIU students three scholarships in Golf major and a golf training program for five HIU staffs in December 2017.
During the businesstrip, HIU & iStudent also agreed with KU on other important issues such as the promotion of two exchange program (6 months or 1 year) and 08 exchange students for Korean Studies major; At the same time, KU will send one professor to teach Korean Studies at HIU.
Well-known in the field of Fashion Design in kimchi country, KU is signing MOU with HIU in the near future to promote training collaboration between the two universities’s Fashion Designing major. Exhibition of graduation collections of the two universities will take place in two countries Vietnam and Korea.
Besides, iStudent representatives also took a look at iStudent's Wintercamp (from Dec.27, 2017 – Jan.1, 2018) facility in Korea as well as expediting the opening of the iStudent representative office in Korea.
Besides the collaboration agreements in training, the two sides also agreed to do meaningful social activities together. Firstly, KU will send 50 Korean students to join the Green Summer Program organized by HIU / iStudent in Vietnam; which scheduled to take place in June, 2018.
