NHG education system welcomes new member: Hoa Sen University

On December 22^nd, Hoa Sen University held an announcement ceremony of the new board of management and president. The event had the participation of the representative of HCMC Ministry of Education & Training, NHG board of directors, presidents of other universities in HCMC and more than 300 lecturers, students of the university.

Accordingly, Hoa Sen University (HSU) officially joined Nguyen Hoang Group (NHG) with a strong investment and development orientation, becoming the fourth member of the university system after Hong Bang International University (HIU), Ba Ria – Vung Tau University (BVU) and Gia Dinh University (GDU).

The ceremony announced the decision to recognize the board of management and president of HSU. According to the decision no.5595/QĐ-UBND on December 7^th, 2018 of HCMC People’s Committee, HSU board of management includes 10 members, in which Associate Professor, Dr. Thai Ba Can, deputy CEO of NHG, university development affairs, the former president of Hong Bang International University is the chairman.

In addition, Professor, Dr. Mai Hong Quy is officially recognized as HSU president of the term 2017-2022. With the experience of 12 years at the president position of HCMC University of Law (2006-2018), Professor, Dr. Mai Hong Quy is expected to be the leader developing and raising the brand of HSU to the higher peak.

In her speech, the new president shared about the development orientation of HSU in future will focus in enhancing the training program following the application-oriented model and building the leading university in Vietnam. “Our goal is to create as many unique selling points as possible for HSU students, so that they will not only get good jobs, but also become the seniors in multinational corporation, national and international businesses”, Professor, Dr. Mai Hong Quy emphasized.

At the event, lecturers and students of HSU also celebrated and welcomed the new president. The moment of receiving beautiful flowers and best wishes from them touched Professor, Dr. Mai Hong Quy so much, that made her more determined to develop HSU to be a proud place with all lecturers, staff and students who are working and learning there.
