BVU opening new academic year, announcing quality accreditation of MoET

On September 20th, Ba Ria - Vung Tau University (BVU) held the opening ceremony of the 2019-2020 new academic year. Besides, the university announced the results of education quality accreditation issued by the Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges, MoET, in which BVU officially meets the quality assurance standards for: strategy; system; operation and performance results.

Adopting humanism and liberalism as the philosophical foundations of education, BVU consistently implemented their training program depending on 4 key points, including: internationalization; university - business collaboration; training content development; comprehensive learning environment.

Training center for 6 provinces in the Southeast region

From August 2018 to May 2019, BVU has practice a self-assessment for all aspects of the university activities, especially focusing on some significant areas like training, scientific research and community service.
In the beginning of July 2019, an official survey for the education accreditation of the Association of Vietnam Universities and Colleges was conducted at BVU.

As the result, BVU was officially recognized according to the new published set of MoET standards. It can be said that BVU strongly affirmed the quality of private education and the right direction in line with the development policy of the government.

Appreciating the results of the university in the 2018-2019 academic year, Mr. Nguyen Hong Linh, member of the Party Central Committee, secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, chairman of the People's Council of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province said: “After nearly 15 years of development, BVU has affirmed their reputation in training quality. In order to solve the problem of the high quality human resource for society demand, BVU has concentrated on some key industries such as: tourism; logistics; IT; English language; etc. In addition to strengthen training and scientific research for lecturers and students, the university also maintain the partnership to authorities, business in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province and other provinces in the Southeast region to build practical training programs”.

Experience to succeed

In the 2019-2020 academic year, BVU has welcomed more than 1,200 new students. In overall, the total number of students now is 4,000. With the theme of "Experience for succeed", BVU offered a cycle of learning and experience for students in 4 steps, including: hands-on experience; thoughtful observation; conceptualization; positive testing.

Besides, BVU honored 2 valedictorians, awarded scholarships to 24 talented students, and reward 14 students for their achievements in academic and extracurricular activities in the 2018-2019 academic year.
