Meaningful charity journey to community after music night “CHRISTMAS GIFTS 2020”

Following the success of the Christmas Gifts 2020 - Lights of Love concert, Nguyen Hoang Group (NHG) will continue on the journey of kindness with charity activities for the community.

Compassionate hearts reach out

Starting the first volunteer journey (from January 13 to 17), the NHG delegation, including Deputy CEO Dr. Do Manh Cuong , Marketing & Communications Director Ms. Tran Thuy Tram Quyen , together with representatives of Hudson Global Scholars, PricewaterhouseCoopers - PwC Vietnam, staff and students of UKA Ba Ria and BVU, visited and presented gifts to children with disability and mental illness at Thien Than (Angel) shelter, home to more than 75 children with disabilities and cerebral palsy in Ba Ria, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province. The delegation then went to Thanh Binh Nursing Home, Tien Giang province, and Suoi Tien Nursing Home, Dong Nai province, – home to the elderly on January 15-16.

The students’ visit to Thanh Binh Nursing Home helps bring warmth to the elderly.

In addition to VND400 million in cash and nearly 1,000 gifts donated to the places, more than VND500 million in cash was also given to  Thai Sa House in Thai Binh province, Love Spring Foundation for Cancer Children (HCMC Cancer Hospital) and Love Spring Program for 100 old people - An Long Parish in Quang Tri province. se The funding is from  the charity funds totalling VND 1.7 billion (almost US$74,000) contributed by donors in the "Christmas Gifts 2020 - Light of Love" concert.

Spreading love to children and the poor in Central Highlands

The second volunteer journey (from January 22 to 24) reached out to children and the poor in Kon Tum and Gia Lai provinces.

The NHG delegation and representatives of sponsors MSB Bank, Huy Phan Group, HIU students, UKA Gia Lai teachers visited and presented more than VND900 million to ethnic children at Thanh Binh boarding house; Thien Phuoc boarding house; Vinh Son orphanage – a home for 900 orphans from newborn to 18 years old; Da Minh boarding house - where nurtures nearly 100 ethnic poor children of Bana, Ha Lang and Se Dang. After that, the delegation went on to Vinh Nguyen boarding house insideDak Kia leprosy camp, which houses about 200 poor families and children of Ja Rai, Bana, and So Dang.

Receiving meaningful gifts for the second time, Director of Suoi Tien Nursing Home, Soeur Tran Thi Kim Huong said, she and the elderly over there are very grateful for the investment of NHG in the charity music night last December: “A very elaborate and professional event with emotional stories. Deep thanks to Nguyen Hoang Group for having organized a meaningful event and thank everyone who bought tickets to the event so that the elderly and children can receive the precious gifts".

Talking about the charity journey after the music night, NHG Deputy CEO Dr. Do Manh Cuong shared: “Mother Teresa once said that, “Nobody is so poor that there is nothing left to give others”. From these compassionate places, we have also received a great gift from the children and the elderly, that’s the bright and happy smiles".

With the spirit of "giving is receiving", NHG constantly spreads love with many meaningful community activities. The implementation of these loving lessons will help thousands of staff, teachers and students of NHG become comprehensive people who live responsibly, know to share, be compassionate and useful for the country.
