Miss University NHG 2021: Journey to the top of glory

Nguyen Hoang Group (NHG) launched its Miss University NHG 2021 -- themed "Journey to the top of glory" on March 23, 2021. This is the second year the contest has been held for undergraduates in the NHG educational system. It is being organized meticulously, professionally, and outstandingly to create a playground for undergraduates to experience and get grown up, heading to becoming global citizens on the path of international integration.

Miss University NHG 2021 is not just a beauty pageant but also a journey with many valuable experiences for students. Through training programs, the contestants will be trained with 5 elements including "Mind - Body - Knowledge - Beauty - Man". This is also NHG’s 5H educational philosophy: Heart - Head – Hand - Health - Human (the last means humans with full dignity).

Ms. Tran Thuy Tram Quyen - Vice Rector of Hong Bang International University, Head of the Organizing Committee, said: “Miss University NHG 2021 will be provide students with valuable experiences in all aspects, wisdom, soul, physical strength and outstanding skills to live happily, integrate internationally and become responsible global citizens.”

Expectedly, there would be more than 3,000 candidates registered to attend from 5 universities namely Hoa Sen University, Hong Bang International University, Ba Ria-Vung Tau University, Gia Dinh University, and Mien Dong University of Technology, together with more than 50,000 voting students. The broadcasting sections from the pageant would reach more than estimated 20 million TV viewers and more than 30 million followers on online channels during the competition.

Registration opened on March 23, 2021, and after 3 weeks of voting via the website missuniversity.vn, the Top 200 will be announced on April 18. From the Top 200, contestants will move on to the Casting round to choose the Top 40 and participate in the challenges of the reality show period, from April 19 to June 6. The night gala for the one to be crowned of Miss University NHG 2021 will be held on June 12, planned at Phu Tho Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, with an estimated 7,000 audience.

Miss University NHG 2021 will create an extremely exciting experience journey for both contestants and the audience community, as well as those who vote. For candidates, the Q&A section at the gala Top 5 will entirely go in English, with the questions not known in advance.

At the Common House, the competitors will get two-week training in areas: Building personal brand by famous businessman Truong Ly Hoang Phi as coach; Performing creativity with coaching by 5 talents who are alumni of the NHG system; Building a community project coached by singer Thuy Tien; Fitness and catwalk by "Catwalk Queen" Vo Hoang Yen, who will directly participate in training.

Especially, the challenge round named "Start-up Incubator" and coached by famous businessman Lam Minh Chanh (Director of BizUni School of Business Administration, founder of the business management and start-up community) is really seen "the fairy garden that incubates the dreams of young creative start-ups". This is considered the "sky" of creative, talented young people with intellectual business interests based on “Do it Yourself” spirit, which means doing what you like to enjoy your passion in an environment of learning and creating. The highest reward for the team that conquers the challenge is totally valuable – a DIYAS Sky apartment located at 16 Nguyen Duc Thuan Street, Tan Binh District, HCMC.

The contestants can also experience the Trait-Map professional personality assessment to help contestants in the final round understand their strengths and weaknesses. For students as audience, the Organizing Committee created an experience playground that brings true value through the project "Training students to improve skills in photography, filming, clip editing" with consultation of famous experts from Sony of Japan and its modern equipment and applications.

The organizers have also coordinated with Gumac Fashion to implement the project "Charity Clothes: Re-arrange and Give" at the beginning of the contest and expect to end the campaign with about 500,000 clothes. The purpose of the project is to educate young people to love and share with difficult circumstances, as well as to contribute to environmental protection against the current situation of fashion waste – currently second only to plastic waste.

Miss University NHG 2021 offers lots of prizes totalling up to VND10 billion (equal to almost USD 435,000) in value. The judges are famous and prestigious names such as supermodel – beauty runner-up Vo Hoang Yen, Head of the Jury; Prof. Dr. medical doctor Hoang Tu Hung - Anthropometric Examiner; singer Bao Thy singer. There are also many other famous artists such as singer Dam Vinh Hung, singer Dong Nhi, beauty runner-up Mau Thuy, Vietnam's Next Top Model 2015 Huong Ly, actor Ninh Duong Lan Ngoc, actress Thanh Thuy, The Face runner-up Quynh Anh.
