NHG signed collaboration agreement with London College of Music (LCM) and Viet Thuong Music (VTM) to implement international standard music education program

On the morning of December 9th, 2017, Nguyen Hoang Group (NHG) signed a cooperation agreement with the London College of Music (LCM) and Viet Thuong Music (VTM) to implement an international standard music training program for high school students of NHG’s education system. With this cooperation, NHG has become the first education group in Vietnam to apply international music teaching curriculum.

Under the collaboration agreement signed, the three sides will work together to develop and implement the LCM Music Education Program for NHG students in a five-year period. The program applies LCM's approach to teaching and learning the popular music, meets the curriculum of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, and adds some practical content expressed through choral and choral compositions as well as the career orientation for gifted students.

Meanwhile, schools in NHG’s education system will become London College of Music Examinations Centres (LCMEs). VTM will collaborate with NHG in equipping all teachers with music teaching skills.

Music is an important element of the Group's philosophy of education." said Dr. Do Manh Cuong, Permanent Member of NHG’s Education Council cum NHG’s Academic Director.

Mr. Pham Kim, General Administrator of LCM in Vietnam emphasized at the event: "Based on the LCM curriculum, handbook and LCM's public education methodology, we will work with the NHG’s Academic Department to develop a program that is relevant to the MOET program and also meets LCM standards and criteria. To achieve theoretical goals (international certifications after each school year) and practical goals (skills & improvisation), we identify the priority activity is to train all teachers to meet international standards of music teaching."

Founded in 1887, London College of Music - LCM is the UK's leading music academy. The school owns a music examining system called the London College of Music Examinations (often referred to as the LCM Examinations). This is one of only four music examinations across the UK to be accredited by the British Education Quality Assurance System.
