BVU signs partnerships with 16 enterprises to strengthen career pathways for students

Ba Ria–Vung Tau University (BVU) has signed cooperation agreements with 16 enterprises across finance, logistics, technology, tourism and manufacturing, reinforcing its commitment to industry-connected education and expanding career opportunities for students.

Representatives of Ba Ria – Vung Tau University (BVU) and partner enterprises perform the cooperation signing ceremony at the program.

The partnerships were announced during the forum “BVU and Businesses Co-Creating the Future,” which brought together business leaders, university faculty and students to discuss workforce trends and talent development.

Strengthening university - industry collaboration

Opening the event, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ba Hoang, President of BVU, highlighted the importance of strong collaboration between universities and enterprises in preparing students for the modern workforce. “Partnerships with enterprises help ensure that BVU’s training programs remain aligned with real-world needs while giving students early exposure to professional environments,” he said.

The forum “BVU and Enterprises – Partnering to Shape the Future” attracted the participation of numerous businesses and students.

The forum provided a platform for dialogue between academia and industry, focusing on emerging workforce demands in sectors experiencing strong growth, including: Marine economy and logistics; Engineering technology and digital transformation; High-tech agriculture and circular economy; Tourism combined with health and wellness services; Elderly care services.

Enterprise representatives shared insights on recruitment trends and workforce demand in emerging economic sectors.

These sectors align with BVU’s strategic academic programs in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Tourism, Foreign Languages and Marine Economics, fields that benefit from Vung Tau’s position as one of Vietnam’s dynamic coastal economic and tourism centers.

Expanding internship and career opportunities

A highlight of the event was the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony between BVU and its partner enterprises, establishing a framework for long-term cooperation in training and talent development.

BVU students engaged in networking and discussions with enterprise representatives during the program.

Through these partnerships, BVU students will gain expanded opportunities for industry engagement and practical learning, including:

  • Internship placements across multiple industries
  • Engagement with industry experts and business leaders
  • Participation in seminars, workshops and networking events
  • Early recruitment opportunities with partner companies
  • Hands-on workplace experience to strengthen career readiness

Dr. Nguyen Van Anh, Acting Vice Dean of the Faculty of Marine Economics and Logistics, said the agreements will soon lead to concrete collaborative activities between the university and its partners: “BVU is committed to building sustainable partnerships with enterprises to create meaningful opportunities for students and contribute to workforce development,” she said.

Scholarships supporting student success

During the event, participating enterprises also awarded scholarships totaling VND 110 million (approximately USD 4,300) to BVU students. Sponsors included Trang Linh Co., Ltd., Bach Nien Thien Duc Elderly Care Center, VPBank – Rach Dua Branch and Nam Phuong Xanh Co., Ltd., which also supported the Logistics Arena 2026 competition.

Partner enterprises presented scholarships to encourage BVU students in their academic journey.

Through expanded collaboration with industry, BVU continues to strengthen a practice-oriented education ecosystem, equipping students with the knowledge, experience and professional networks needed to succeed in an increasingly competitive global workforce.
