Educating with heart to cultivate love

Love among our hearts

In NHG's Human educational philosophy (Heart - Head - Hand - Health - Human), Heart was chosen to be the first value because to work in education, we must start with love. It is just a simple love that can make a great future for each person and even humanity. Rabindranath Tagore, a poet and a philosopher, once said that the principal aim of education should be the development of moral and spiritual aspects of a child's personality. And so, education should focus on respect towards life, open hearts and allow people to awaken the goodness in each person.

NHG has chosen the heart as the first value to cherish the pure beauty of the heart; thus, to focus on educating emotions and personality of students.

According to Dr. Vu Thi Phuong Anh, Director of NHG Education Quality Assurance Department, in NHG's educational environment, Heart is the love for people, love for colleagues, love for education, love for students, love for NHG. At the same time, Heart is also considered a sweet result of the teaching and the learning journey. Therefore, generations of NHG students are also fully and thoroughly educated about their emotions and personalities, to become people who understand themselves and others, know how to nurture and develop positive emotions such as: confidence, tolerance, acceptance of others, courage and determination to face difficulties or challenges in life.

Education with love at NHG will create people with high emotional intelligence (EQ) who will become successful and happy. That is also what modern education is aiming for, Dr. Phuong Anh emphasized.

Hong Bang International University (HIU) awarded more than 7 tons of rice and 1,400 gifts to the people of Ho Chi Minh City with an automatic rice machine made by teachers and students from Electronics – Auto Production faculty.

Serving in love is a mission of happiness

Entering the 21st year on the journey of developing and spreading knowledge, Nguyen Hoang Group (NHG) chose this year as the Year of Heart with the spirit of "Serving in love".

In addition to the 20% reduction in tuition fee during the epidemic season, the four universities have collaborated with lecturers and students to research and produce hand sanitizers and prepare more than 10,000 cloth masks to donate to local community, staff, lecturers and students.

Sharing about the human educational philosophy, Ms. Hoang Nguyen Thu Thao, CEO of NHG, said: “The basis of Nguyen Hoang’s people is to love and to serve, in other words "serving in love". On the foundation of love, Nguyen Hoang’s people will lead, teach, care, learn and work with a spirit of serving", which contributes to the development of the country and people of Vietnam.

In the Covid-19 pandemic, Ms. Hoang Nguyen Thu Thao - CEO of NHG - sent a letter of encouragement to the NHG family to get through this tough time together.

It can be said that the ultimate destination of all service is human. That is why, by putting people at the center of life, NHG has invested with all its strength and enthusiasm to create a complete international education ecosystem. Nearly a 2,000 audience attended the Christmas music night "Gifts from love" organized by the Education Council and the Student Association of Nguyen Hoang Group (NHG) to raise funds for charity.

Entering the 21st year on the journey of developing and spreading knowledge, with the theme "Year of Heart", Nguyen Hoang Group (NHG) kicked off a series with its most meaningful event of the year with “NHGer's Story” contest, where NHGers shared their memorable stories whilst working at the Group and “Let's Celebrate” contest, an opportunity for NHGers to show their creativity in making videos. On August 19th, the 21st birthday event of Nguyen Hoang Group will be broadcasted online (livestream) on the group's media channels with the participation of artists, parents and students who have always supported NHG such as Phi Nhung, Hien Thuc, Ung Dai Ve, Han Sara, Ho Van Cuong, Hoang Anh Doremon, Tan Bao, etc., with all staff, teachers and students of the NHG family.

NHG educational system has implemented many projects which aim to serve the community and apply innovative technologies such as: making bilingual clips for Covid-19 epidemic prevention communication; introducing Vietnamese traditional culture to international friends via Skype; preparing and distributing dry hand sanitizers and masks and helping local people to sell agricultural products via social networks, etc.
