Hong Bang International University Appoints New Vice-President

On the morning of July 12th, 2021, Hong Bang International University (HIU) announced its decision to appoint MSc Nguyen Ngoc Tuan the position of Vice-President with the responsibility of managing the infrastructure, information technology and digital transformation.

The ceremony saw the participation of Assoc.Prof.Dr. Thai Ba Can, Deputy CEO of Nguyen Hoang Education Group (NHG), Dr. Do Manh Cuong, Deputy CEO of NHG, Chairman of HIU Council, Prof.Dr. Pham Van Linh, President of HIU, MSc. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, the newly appointed Vice-President along with the Board of Administrators, lecturers and staff.

MSc. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan graduated with a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Da Nang, received a Master's of Education from Hanoi National University of Pedagogy in 2003. He has had 25 years of experience in the field of education and has held management positions at various levels. different levels such as Head of Admissions of the Foreign Language Center, Chief of Office of the AUSP International Cooperation Programs, Head of Marketing and Development Department of the International Training Institute of the Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City, Director of Admissions in Vietnam for La Trobe University, Australia.

Before becoming Vice-President of HIU, MSc Nguyen Ngoc Tuan held a long tenure working for Nguyen Hoang Education Group (NHG). He was the former Executive Director of iSchool System, Director of the Project and Facilities Management Board.

The ceremony was also joined by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thai Ba Can digitally.

Speaking at the Appointment Ceremony, MSc. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan especially emphasized the importance of 4 pillars of the University that contribute to the brand NHG, namely the Training Program, Scientific Research and International Cooperation, Personnel and Facilities. Of which, investment in facilities has been and is being paid special attention by NHG and HIU in order for the University to grow in the period ahead.

“With the mission of developing physical infrastructure and digital transformation for HIU, soon HIU will be Expanding its scale, developing more training facilities, and investing in upgrading medical equipment for students’ hands-on learning. Particularly, the digital transformation process will be implemented in 3 main areas, including standardizing HIU's information technology system, digitizing training programs and document systems, processes and standards, and implementing synchronously the school operation method from traditional to the modern method of applying technology to optimize training and learning efficiency of the school", shared Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan - the new Vice Principal.

The current HIU Board of Directors includes Prof. Dr. M.D. Pham Van Linh - President of HIU and three Vice-Presidents: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Khac Cuong in charge of training, Ms. Tran Thuy Tram Quyen is in charge of enrollment, communication and student experience, and MSc Nguyen Ngoc Tuan is in charge of infrastructure, information technology and digital transformation.
