Groundbreaking ceremony of UKA Da Nang

On August 13th, Nguyen Hoang Group (NHG) held the groundbreaking ceremony of the UK Academy international bilingual school (UKA), Da Nang campus - the 6th campus in UKA system of NHG.

Attending the ceremony, there were leaders of the People's Committee; DoET; agencies; departments; unions of Da Nang city.

UKA Da Nang is an international bilingual school, providing education from the kindergarten to high school, belongs to NHG educational system and is approved to be constructed in accordance with the decision no. 2374/QD-UBND of Da Nang city People's Committee dated May 25th, 2019. The school is built on an area of more than 5,400m2 in Xuan Ha ward, Thanh Khe district, Da Nang city. There are 2,000m2 of construction area; 1,000m2 of green and sports area; 10 floors with 57 classrooms to meet the needs of more than 1,300 students from kindergarten to grade 12.

Besides, UKA Da Nang has a variety of learning services and modern facilities such as: 200-seat hall; 23 function rooms; swimming pool; football field; multipurpose sport hall; library; laboratory; medical room; garden; etc.

UKA Da Nang will officially enroll students for the 2020-2021 academic year from September 2019. Expectedly, the project will be completed by May 30, 2020 so that students from kindergarten to grade 10 can start their learning in August 2020.

Reportedly, UKA system consists of 6 campuses across three regions of Vietnam: 2 campuses in HCMC and Ba Ria - Vung Tau province (southern Vietnam); 2 campuses in Hue city, Quang Ngai province and now started UKA Da Nang (central region); the North has 1 campus in Ha Long city. Dr. Do Manh Cuong, deputy CEO, K-12 academic affairs shared: “Education is a noble mission because it is extremely important to the prosperity of a nation. Educational philosophy of NHG is human-centered. Therefore, we wish UKA Danang would be the school of all Da Nang people. The school is not only for Nguyen Hoang students but all local students and young people who desire to study”.

Leaders of Da Nang city supposed the groundbreaking of UKA marks a new development in the education sector of the city in particular and the country in general. The school might bring a liberal education model, focusing on the English program with Cambridge standard that would help students access advanced education. Thanks to experience and achievements of the UKA system, the values of knowledge may develop strongly, contributing to the innovation of local education.
