Hong Bang International University celebrates 25 years of construction and development

On December 17, Hong Bang International University (HIU) celebrated the 25th anniversary of establishment and development. HIU was also honored to receive the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister and the Traditional Flag of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary, HIU organised a series of activities such as: HIU achievement exhibition, scientific conference, arts festival, a session with top mnemonists of the world. Besides, HIU praised collectives and individuals achieving outstanding performance in contributing to the university development. The lecturers, staff and alumni from all generations also joined to commemorate the 25-years journey of HIU.

HIU1 — *HIU celebrated 25 years of construction and development.*

In the summary report about 25 years of construction and development, Prof. Dr. Pham Van Linh, president of HIU, highlighted important achievements: “We are proud to have provided more than 80,000 graduates who were Ph.D., M.A., Specialists, Bachelors, Pharmacists, Technicians for Vietnam and global’s labor market. Currently, HIU has 40 training programmes that focus on the trend of high-demand occupations. The 25-years journey with relentless efforts is truly a memorable milestone of HIU”.

Dr. Pham Van Tac, Director of the Health Ministry’s Department of Science, Technology and Training and Vice Chairman of the National Medical Council, spoke at the ceremony: “HIU is the first private university having training programmes in many majors in the health sector. In addition, HIU also offers admissions for international students from various countries such as: India, Honduras, Korea, Japan, Russia... I highly appreciate the achievements, including numerous certificates and awards that the university has gained in recent years. Hopefully, in the coming years, HIU will continue providing high-quality human resources for the society, especially for the health sector”.

Choosing the theme “Sailing”, HIU hosted a diverse program of activities such as: the science and technology conference with over 130 reports of professors, doctors, medical experts; the 25-year achievement exhibition with 40 booths from faculties, institutes, departments, centers, strategic partners; the arts festival with 30 performances choreographed elaborately by teachers and students; traditional sports with table tennis, soccer...; and the meeting between top mnemonists of the world and HIU students.

HIU2 — *Administrators of HIU received the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister.*

On this occasion, HIU was also honored to receive the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister for excellent achievements in the prevention of the COVID-19 epidemic in 2021, and received the Traditional Flag of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee. Many collectives and individuals with excellent achievements were praised and rewarded by the school and the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

The year 2022 marks HIU’s 25th anniversary of establishment and development. From now on, HIU officially steps into a new world with a feeling of being “grown-up” after thriving in the ocean waves with the Ship of Knowledge. Administrators, lecturers, staff remain committed to amplifying our high quality academic qualifications to develop the Vietnamese workforce.
