IEC Quang Ngai’s gratitude towards students and parents: More than Thanks

After exactly one year of operation, on June 20th, International Education City - IEC Quang Ngai held a Grateful Ceremony “More than Thanks”.

The ceremony was held with attendance of Mr. Nguyen Tang Binh, Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai People's Committee; Mr. Tran Sy, Deputy Director of Quang Ngai’s DoET; Leaders of Quang Ngai Department; Especially, the presence of students and their parents who have always trusted and been with IEC for the past year, who joined hands to successfully build the first International Education City of Vietnam on the land of inquiring citizens - Quang Ngai.

Ms. Le Nguyen Trung Nguyen, MA, General President of IEC Quang Ngai, listened and shared the solutions for parents’ concerns over the past year.

Lever for future generations

“Education City is a new and unprecedented model in Vietnam. Therefore, it is very proud that a small province like Quang Ngai has led the country regarding education renovation and socialization. Not only to create a school with modern HUMAN educational philosophy, to provide the world’s educational trend to citizens in Quang Ngai and the Central area, but IEC is also a lever to promote and improve teaching quality in both public and private school systems in the province for the next student generations”, Mr. Nguyen Tang Binh, Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai People's Committee spoke at the ceremony.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tang Binh, Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai People's Committee, shared the orientation and decisions of the province when approving the IEC Quang Ngai project.

On behalf of Nguyen Hoang Group (NHG), Dr. Do Manh Cuong, Deputy CEO, shared the orientations, values and commitments that NHG looks forward to when setting up an educational network in Vietnam. IEC Quang Ngai will inherit and pioneer in the new directions of NHG to contribute to creating the first comprehensive educational ecosystem in Vietnam.

At the ceremony, Ms. Le Nguyen Trung Nguyen, MA, Director of IEC Quang Ngai, has listened to parents’ constructive concerns over the past year and provided answers towards them. IEC Quang Ngai is committed to deploying in the 2020-2021 school year in such aspects as: Strengthening the staff and teachers towards improving professional skills and students’ caring skills; Supplementing the team with contingent of good teachers in Quang Ngai province to be visiting lecturers; Applying modern educational methods; Developing flexible and diverse scholarship policies to encourage and welcome gifted and talented students; Upholding the discipline and academic culture for students.

The ceremony was attended by the leaders of Quang Ngai province and more than 300 students and their parents who have always trusted and been with IEC for the past year.

365 days of serving in love

Especially, IEC Quang Ngai desires to build a close connection between parents, the community and the school to improve education quality, perfect the mission on training generations of intellectual students with exceptional spirit, stamina and skills for international integration, becoming responsible global citizens.

After 1 year of operation, IEC Quang Ngai has initially built a solid foundation of curriculum, learning environment and teachers, becoming the second home for more than 1,000 students here.

Students of the UK Academy International Bilingual School (UKA), IEC Quang Ngai, study Literature with homemade learning materials.

Students of Nursery 1 class (12–18 months) at Saigon Academy International Kindergarten (SGA), IEC Quang Ngai, explore and learn about chicks in the “animals” learning project.

During the 2019-2020 school year, many experiential activities took place both inside and outside IEC Quang Ngai. Students of SGA, iSchool, UKA visited and discovered the values of life, culture, history, nature, people, science and economics, etc., through practical experience trips at museums, historical monuments, Thanh Ha pottery village - Hoi An, An Mo clean vegetable garden - Mo Duc, Binh Son oil refinery, the memorial house of Mr. Pham Van Dong - former Prime Minister, Dang Thuy Tram Hospital, Duc Nhuan Cooperative, etc.

Students of class 5.2 at iSchool International Integration School, IEC Quang Ngai, are excited about the Golden Bell Challenge game before starting Vietnamese class.

Also in the 2019-2020 school year, IEC Quang Ngai started 15 clubs on sports, arts, entertainment, languages, science, etc., to help students experience useful activities outside the classroom.
