NHG donated 2,000 hand sanitizer bottles for Covid-19 disease prevention
On February 14th & 15th, representatives of Nguyen Hoang Group (NHG), including Hong Bang International University (HIU) and Ba Ria - Vung Tau University (BVU), donated 2,000 bottles of hand sanitizer (equivalent to 500 liters), for 13 community locations in HCMC, Dong Nai, BR-VT and Da Nang.
In the context of the acute respiratory infection epidemic caused by Covid-19 virus is widely spreading, HIU and BVU have successfully produced instant hand sanitizer which were tested at the Pasteur Institute in HCMC. This product can help to proactively prevent the disease as well as ensure the health and safety of students, parents, staff and the community.

Free products are given to use at schools and social organizations such as: Xuan Loc bishopric; Xuan Loc St. Joseph grand Seminary; Ba Ria bishopric; Archbishop court of Saigon; Pastoral Center; Saigon Cathedral; Ky Dong Church; Gia Dinh district (Hang Xanh church); Tan Dinh District; Catholic Academy; Francis Academy; Dominican Academy; Da Nang bishopric; etc. to carry out specific hygiene measures, keeping people safe when joining common activities.
The product is accurately manufactured with the strict process, under the supervision of Specialist 1 doctor - Ho Thi Thien Ngan - Head of HIU Medical Station (Former head of Health Education Communication, Epidemic Control department at the Pasteur Institute in HCM city), HIU Biotechnology faculty and BVU Technology - High Technology Agricultural faculty.

Besides, amid the scarcity of face masks in the market, the Faculty of Design and Arts, the Fashion Design Department, Hoa Sen University (HSU) has conducted 1,000 masks which are made of antibacterial sterilized paper lining for students, lecturers, and sanitation workers. Earlier, HIU students also produced 1,000 sterilized masks for students.
The whole NHG education system always puts the health of students in priority and works closely with departments and agencies to implement disease preventive methods. The member schools in the system continuously spray and disinfect the entire campus, classrooms and function rooms; general cleaning of classrooms, common areas, campuses, cafeterias, kitchens, playgrounds; provide anti-bacterial hand washing at the tap, prepare masks to give to students if they forget to bring; check body temperature regularly for all teachers, staff, students; etc.
In addition, NHG education system organizes training on using the e-learning system (online training) for teachers, lecturers and staff participating in teaching without certificates, helping them to use proficiency these systems to transmit lessons remotely during school breaks.
The schools also keep in close contact with parents to help children review and study at home. School administrators regularly monitor and be on duty, the disease situation in the locality, the health status of students, teachers, staff until there is a notice of return to school.
