NHG students are excited to return to school after the "historical holiday"

Nearly 4 months after the "historical holiday" due to the impact of Covid-19 epidemic, from May 4th, students of Nguyen Hoang Group (NHG) have officially returned to school to continue the journey conquering knowledge.

To welcome students back, the schools together with teachers and medical staff have implemented many preventive measures such as body temperature measurement, hand sanitizing and instructing students to follow the regulations of social distancing, avoiding gathering.

Safety comes first

Phuong Hang, a student of class 12A2, iSchool Quy Nhon shared: “I was so excited to be back to school. As this is my senior year, I look forward to going to school as soon as possible so I could have more time to be with my friends and teachers. Learning and interacting directly are much more fun and effective, especially when I am preparing for the upcoming National High School Exam”.

In the lecture hall of Hong Bang International University (HIU), students sat at least 1m away from each other.

Previously, to ensure the safety of students, the schools have cleaned and disinfected classrooms, teachers' offices, functional rooms and school supplies. At the same time, the schools have built an automatic hand sanitizer, fully equipped hand sanitizer in schools’ campuses; arranged seats with more spacings: dining tables and chairs, dining areas, classrooms’ tables and chairs, pick up areas. Teachers have also prepared lesson plans and e-lessons which are ready for upcoming class times.

“During the break time, the school organized training sessions for teachers about online teaching, innovating teaching methods. Currently, to help students not to be bored and distracted after the holiday, we have designed livelier lessons, organized fun activities in small groups”, said by Ms. Ngo Diep Suong - iSchool Tra Vinh teacher.

Students of Gia Dinh University (GDU) implemented seat-distancing in IT classroom.


Besides, in response to the "Back to school" spirit, NHG has organized many activities to motivate students such as: Producing MV "Covid, I want to go to school"; "Creativity Explodes" contest; Administrators, officers and lecturers of BVU coming up with ideas, recording and producing the song "Back to school", etc.

Especially, in order to support students, universities in the system have decided to reduce 20% of tuition fee for all regular students of the schools and have encouraged students at dormitories by giving them presents. In addition, even when returning to school after the holiday, online learning method will still be maintained in parallel with in-class learning so that the schools and parents can work together in supporting students study more effectively. This method has been the NHG’s solution to achieve innovative education in the future.

Administrators and medical team of the International Schools of North America (SNA) stood at the school gate to test student’s body temperature, provided hand sanitizers and instructed students to follow the regulations of social-distancing on the first day back to school.
