The inauguration ceremony of UK Academy International Bilingual School Hue (UKA)

After a year under construction, the UK Academy International Bilingual School (UKA), Hue campus, has just officially opened and is now in operation on provincial road 10, Phu Thuong commune, Phu Vang district, Thua Thien Hue province.

Leaders of NHG and UKA Hue executed the ribbon cutting ceremony, marking the milestone that UKA Hue is officially in operation.

The event was honored to welcome Mr. Nguyen Thai Son - Standing Committee’s Member, Head of Communication Division of Thua Thien Hue Province, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong - Standing Committee’s Member, Vice President of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee, leaders’ representatives of local departments, representatives of Nguyen Hoang Group, schools in the system, teachers and parents in Thua Thien Hue.

The inauguration ceremony of UKA Hue took place with more than 500 guests, parents and students participated.

The combination of East - West in education

Built on an area of 35,000m2, UKA Hue is fully equipped with a system of specialized functional rooms and classrooms, a FIFA artificial turf system, an Olympic sized swimming pool and a multi-functional stadium. With operation capacity for 1,700 students, UKA aims to ensure high quality training quality for students from kindergarten to grade 12.

Until now, UKA is the only school that offers students the ability to continue their education from Kindergarten to High school in Hue. With a continuous learning pathway, the best conditions for students to study and train holistically throughout their development, UKA comprehensively offers 9 study programmes: Cambridge English Programme; Ministry of Education and Training or MoET; NCUK International Foundation Year Programme; Life Values - Life Skills; LCM Music; Junior Achievement (JA); STEM Robotics and extracurricular activities combined with a Physical Development Programme that provides students with a foundation for their comprehensive development. Students can gather knowledge, improve skills, and develop physical health.

The highlights of UKA’s architecture is that whilst it is typical of the old capital it is also combined with a modern western influence with a greenery eco-system on campus that creates a friendly, fresh and comfortable learning environment for students. Besides the integration of core traditional education and advanced teaching methods in the academic programme, UKA promotes the Cambridge English programme and STEM Robotics programme, creating a solid premise for students to study abroad in the future.

4.0 education - From ambition to action

In the framework of the inauguration ceremony, UKA Hue has organized a scientific seminar "Modern education in the 4.0 era" - the topic "From Ambition to Action" where Dr. Do Manh Cuong, Deputy CEO of Nguyen Hoang Group (NHG) and Associate Professor, Dr. Huynh Van Son - Vice President of HCMC University of Education co-chaired.

The seminar was held for local schools and educational management departments in Thua Thien Hue to share practical issues and identify solutions to help develop the province's education sustainably. From there, we can improve the foundation and execution of modern technology while confronting challenges and fluctuations of diseases, weather, learners' needs and inevitable development trends of society.

The event was honored to welcome Mr. Phan Thien Dinh - Vice President of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee, representatives of local departments, representatives of Nguyen Hoang Group, schools in the system, and other teachers and parents in Thua Thien Hue. The event also included participation from parents and students of NHG’s education system: singer Phan Dinh Tung, MC Oc Thanh Van and singer Tan Bao, etc.

The "Shine your light" festival also provided students a playful and colorful space with interesting activities such as statue painting, coloring, making handmade crafts and interacting with Alexa robots, creating favorable conditions for children to freely express their creativity.

UK Academy will be a fresh approach, contributing to the development of local education; building a modern learning environment for students whilst still retaining a traditional cultural identity; supporting the development of younger generations in a holistic manner with a human approach so that they can live globally.
